Statement of Faith

  • The Scriptures. We believe in the inerrancy of Scripture the Bible, Old and New Testaments; that it the divinely inspired and infallible Word of God to man
  • The Godhead. God is Spirit; infinite, eternal, and unchangeable in His being and attributes. In Him all things have their source. He is the one true and only God, Creator of Heaven, and Earth.
  • The Trinity. The One true God has a plural nature: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, all distinct personalities, One God who reveals Himself in three persons.
  • Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is Lord and the Son of God, these titles proclaim His deity. He is fully God and fully human. He was miraculously born of a virgin, through the Holy Spirit; lived a sinless life on earth, teaching, preaching and performing miracles with divine authority. Jesus fulfilled God’s plan in History: He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, was buried, was bodily raised from the dead and ascended into heaven; this provided for the atonement of our sins. He ascended to the right hand of the Father, and lives to make intercession for us.
  • The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a divine person, the third person in the Holy Trinity.
  • The Visible coming of Christ. We believe in the personal, visible coming of Jesus Christ to the earth. He will return with His saints and set up a kingdom to which there will be no end.
  • Sin. We believe that all people are sinful and therefore separated from God. We are responsible for our sin and our salvation, redemption, and forgiveness are freely offered to all by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ through His death on the cross.  When a person repents of their sin and accepts Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord, trusting Him to save that person, who is immediately born again and sealed by the Holy Spirit. All his/her sins are forgiven, and that person becomes a child of God, destined to spend eternity with the Lord.
  • Baptism. We believe that all who repent and believe in Christ as Savior and Lord should be baptized (being emerged) in water.
  • Gifts of the Holy Spirit. We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit as mentioned in the Scriptures, and that they are valid for today if they are exercised within scriptural guidelines.
  • We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, empowering and equipping believers for service.
  • We as believers should desire the best gifts, seeking to exercise them in love so that the whole Body of Christ might be edified. We believe that love is more important than the most spectacular gifts, and without this love all exercise of spiritual gifts is worthless. While we hold to these beliefs, we will fellowship with any believer in the Lord Jesus Christ who has a sincere desire to grow closer to Jesus. Our desire is to share in the fellowship of Christ in a way that brings glory to God, avoiding division, and to share in His Agape love.
  • We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sin on the cross, as substitutionary sacrifice, according to the Scriptures.
  • We believe that all who believe in Him receive The Lord Jesus by faith and are born again of the Holy Spirit and therefor will be called children of God.
  • We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ, His ascension into heaven, and His present life as our Hight Priest and Advocate at the throne of God.
  • We believe in the personal return of Jesus Christ.
  • We believe in the divinely ordained five-fold Ministry of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers.
  • We believe in the principle of submission to God’s authority, but also understood that members and leaders shall be under their pastor’s authority, subjected to submission of authority in matter of governance, doctrine, and personal behavior.
  • We belief in the resurrection of the just and the unjust, the eternal life of the redeemed and the eternal banishment of those who rejected salvation.
  • We believe that the one true Church is the whole company of those who have been redeemed by Jesus Christ and regenerated by the Holy Spirit. Further, that the local church on earth should take on the character of Christ, and that the new-birth and personal confession of Christ is essential to membership.
  • We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ appointed two sacraments:  Baptism in Water, and The Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion). This should be observed as an act of obedience to the Lord and is essential to our faith. Through Water Baptism we confess and identify with Christ’s burial and resurrection, and the Lord’s Supper is emblems and symbols of the Savior’s broken body (the bread) and His blood that was shed on the cross (the red juice/wine) In remembrance of Him.
  • We believe that divine healing was provided in the Old and New Testament and is still current today.
  • We believe that the Bible teaches Holiness (the doctrine of sanctification), which is a progressive work of grace through the Holy Spirit, starting at the new-birth and commencing thought life.
  • We believe in a day of judgement when Jesus Christ will judge the living and the dead. We believe in the resurrection of the body and eternal life for the righteous and eternal punishment for the wicked. We believe in the new heaven and the new earth where God will reign in glory.
